[Discussion & voting] Composition of Pacifica's Solar System |
I've done some manual calculations for gravitational and tidal forces (and one barycenter calculation for the Hot Uranus). As far as I can tell, there would be no extreme effects on Pacifica with a composition like the in the latest suggestion.
As long as we can have an ice planet, I'm perfectly happy to support any composition for our solar system
Proposed plants named in Syaqin aren:
0: The Sun: Hin (from heu, 'to shine) 1: Hot Gas Giant: Syatya (one of the Revanim, her name means 'freedom') Large Moon 1: (Feoldo Syatyad - Syatya's child. The Feoldim Syatyad form an important part of Revaran mythology) 2: Small Planet 1: Tyaniro (one of the Revanim, his name means 'messenger' and he is Syatya's consort) 3: Asteriod Belt: Mamwa inuterakhea (Asteroid [space rock] ring), with dwarf planet: Terakharuto ('the stone king', probably appears in Revaran myth) 4: Small Planet 2: Jera (one of the Revanim, her name means 'journey' or 'quest') 5: Pacifica (Planet 1): Esyin, (also means 'ground') 6: Rocky Planet 2: Ranino (one of the Ravanim, his name means 'thinker', Jera's consort) 7: Gas Giant 1: Ratyano (leader of the Revanim, his name means 'defender') 8: Gas Giant 2: Vicara (Ratyano's consort, her name means 'muse') 9: Asteroid Belt 2: Mamwa lehennuvalea ('further ring') 10: Rocky Planet 3: International name 11: Ice Giant 1: International name 12: Zone with asteroid belts and dwarf planets Founder of the Church of the South Pacific [Forum Thread] [Discord], a safe place to discuss spirituality for people of all faiths and none (currently looking for those interested in prayer and/or "home" groups);

As for structure, the thing I think:
1. Hot Uranus 2. Asteroid Field that extends from outside the Hot Uranus' orbit to far enough away from Pacifica's orbit. There could perhaps be 1 or 2 dwarf planets hidden in the field. 3. Pacifica, moons Minima and Maxima 4. small rocky planet 5. another rocky planet 6. another asteroid field, perhaps with a few dwarf planets 7. Gas giant 1, many moons 8. Gas giant 2, many moons 9. asteroid field #3 10. Rocky planet 11. Ice giant 12. ice field, with many comets, etc. 11.
Anyone else who'd like to post suggestions for the composition?
Shall we vote on which of the two latest propositions to chose, or shall we try to combine them?
I think we should vote for the suggestions, with an extra option to combine/rediscuss?
Option 1, please.
