DECEMBER 2021 PRIME MINISTER TEST ELECTION

The election, as laid out in Articles 2 and 4 of the Elections Act, consists of a single round of voting held via Instant Runoff Vote (IRV) and open to all legislators who gained their status prior to the start of the declarations period.

There are two ways of casting a vote:
  • Legislators may cast a public vote via a reply to this thread by listing some or all of the candidates in descending order of preference; that is, from most to least preferred.

  • Legislators may cast a private vote via a message to the Vote Collector account by copying the code below and filling in their preference for some or all of the candidates candidate in descending order; that is, from most to least preferred. Votes cast in private will be released with an anonymous code attached to each, so that only the caster will know which vote corresponds to them.

    Code:
    [X] Candidate A
    [X] Candidate B
    [X] Candidate C
    [X] Re-Open Nominations
Voting begins on December 11 at 6:45 PM (UTC) and ends on December 14 at 6:45 PM (UTC) (countdown).

Please consider time zone differences when reviewing the deadline for each stage in the election. It is your responsibility to ensure that you comply with all legal requirements within the mandated time frames (time zone conversion).

Causes for Invalidation

Please note that any of the following will be considered cause for invalidation of part or all of a vote by the Election Commissioner:
  • A vote where a candidate is listed more than once consecutively will have all preferences for that candidate after the first deemed invalid.

  • A vote where a candidate is listed that is not on the official ballot, or is not named exactly as they are on the official ballot (excepting punctuation) will have all preferences for said candidate deemed invalid.

  • A vote where a candidate is listed more than once non-consecutively will be deemed invalid.

  • A vote that has been edited will be deemed invalid.
