[Poll] Elections
#1

Well, this thread has been created to determine the election dates of each country. There are two questions in this poll:
  1. How long a term does the head of government serve?
  2. In what month and day is your country's election day?
The following questions are optional:
  1. Are there term limits? If so, what is it?
  2. When is Inauguration Day in your country?
In Qvait, the President, who is the head of state and government, serves a one-year term and may run for a second. No President may serve three consecutive terms, but may run for nonconsecutive terms. Election Day is the first Tuesday of January. Inauguration Day is 1 April.

An example:
John Doe is President for 2015–16 and 2016–17. He cannot serve for a third consecutive term for 2017–18. However, he is eligible to run for President in the 2018–19 term and the one after it. If he served for the 2018–19 and 2019–20 terms, he cannot serve as President in the 2020–21 term, but can do so in the 2021–22 term.

In the Senatorial Dictatorship of Liberum Hominis in Terra, the head of government is a lifelong position. Elections are held every year for Senate seats (25 seats, odd number for tie breaking purposes). The elections are held in June, and winners are announced on the first of July.

A Senator can run for 3 consecutive terms, but will have to sit out on a fourth term, but eligible the next year (ie: Senator can be in Senate for 15-16, 16-17, and 17-18, but not 18-19, and then again in 19-20, 20-21 and 21-22, and so on and so forth). Election day is the first Sunday of June (unless if the first Sunday is between the 1-3, then Election day is on the second Sunday of June), and inauguration day is the first of July.

In the Dominion of Noctenos, the Rex Excelsum - or Rh'alor in Noctenosian - serves until resignation, death, impeachment or legal decommission by the council. No candidate may run for a second term, even if their first term was ended abruptly. The actual election day is five weeks after the end of the past incumbent's term, and the newly elected ruler comes to power immediately after the results are announced, generally a couple days after the ballots close.

In the Republic of Kringalia, the President is elected every four years and may be reelected an unlimited amount of times, but convention since the Miller Reformation says that the President should only serve for two consecutive terms. Election Day is on December 3 and inaugurations are held on February 3, which also coincides with Independence Day.

In Karnetvor, the President has a term of four years and may be reelected once. No President may serve more than two consecutive terms, but may run for non-consecutive terms.

Elections don't have a fixed date, but they are usually held on the second Sunday of September and inaugurations held in December (with some exceptions; the 2007 election was held in March, with his inauguration being on April). Election dates are set by the Electoral Commission, an independent body tasked with overseeing the electoral process.

Sedunn:
  1. How long a term does the head of government serve?
Elections are held every seven years.
  2. In what month and day is your country's election day?
    First Sunday of October
The following questions are optional:
  1. Are there term limits? If so, what is it?
    No.
  2. When is Inauguration Day in your country?
The term of office starts Monday, 12 o'clock, after the third Sunday of October. Before 12 o'clock the newly elected king/queen holds the government's statement and declares who will be ministers. At exactly 12 o'clock coronation takes place, with the old king/queen placing the crown upon the newly elected one's head. If the head of state and government is re-elected, he/she wears the crown through the entire government policy statement.

The Prime Minister serves a term of three years. Election Day is the third Saturday of January. There are no limits for terms, however a party may be voted out under extreme circumstances. The start of the Prime Minister's term is the third Saturday of February.

Terms are any period up to 5 years, elections can be brought forward by simple majority in parliament. At present next election is April 2026.
No term limits.
No official inauguration as the president is never sworn in, however, they become President the moment they can form a majority in parliament.
