GI-Land is the winner of this year's FWC again! With a phenomenal 5-2* they have beaten Bruuma and so could defend their title!

*The 5-2 was the third result of the dice rolls. The first two were 10-2 each, but I thought that this would've been a too extreme score, especially if my team wins at the end. It wouldn't be really credible and that's why I rolled the dices until a lower score came up. In all rolls I have won though.

The Women's FWC has started

GI-Land really had bad start. The hosts lost against Sereva with 0-1 after a bad performance that would have justified a higher victory of the Serevan selection. Group A was also home of today's only draw.
Additionally Huawan, Tigon and Ryccia have shown today that they need to get counted in for advancing to the next stage of the tournament. High wins in the first game are normally signals of being a favourite in the competition.

GI-Land's out and Group D wants to be exciting!

The host has officially failed and is out of the group stage after matchday 2. Only the three other teams can manage still to advance into the knockout stage. Irykia and Esfalsa also won't continue to compete in the tournament after the next matchday either. Special attention should get paid to Group D, where everyone was able up until now to gain one victory. It all comes down to the last group stage matches, who will advance and who won't there.

Senate Majority Leader Charles Holburn watching his daughter Karen Holburn play in Bzerneleg v. GI-Land in his Senate office in Belmont, the capital city of Bzerneleg.

"The girls have made us proud as it's their first time playing in the FWC and same for the boys. Their first win in a women national team shirt is definitely gonna be a remarkable achievement for them and for us as well. Let's just hope for the best and wish that they will go as far into the tournament as they can and hopefully bring something back for the nation. No matter the result we will still be welcoming our teams back with open arms and letting them know that the whole nation is behind them and are their loyal supporters." Transsuneria somehow managed it to play three goalless draws, which is an achievement too: Congratulations! Other than that in Group D two teams with the same amount of points and with the same goal difference may proceed in the competition, while Huawan in Group B hopes that at least the traditional women's team can play good in the quarter finals against Bzerneleg!

This matchday was exciting. It had a penalty shootout as well as many goals. Only the game of Ryccia against Sedunn was mostly a bit boring to watch until the 78th minute, when a Sedunnic striker finally found the goal of the other team.
