@Party Secretary happy new year!
Griffindor#9422 [03-Jan-18 03:47 PM]
@APCRC Member Are we going to have a endo vote? Or should we focus on the elections?
Omega#7092 [03-Jan-18 03:47 PM]
Focus on elections
Griffindor#9422 [03-Jan-18 06:12 PM]
Sounds good to me
Griffindor#9422 [03-Jan-18 11:51 PM]
Also, drall has not activity in-game since the 27th
I think he told me he’s on vacation
Sam111#3894 [03-Jan-18 11:55 PM]
He did post a LoA
Griffindor#9422 [03-Jan-18 11:58 PM]
Lol I just stumbled across that about 4 seconds ago
Spenty#2436 [03-Jan-18 11:59 PM]
I might be in limvo
Spenty#2436 [04-Jan-18 12:00 AM]
I posted a LoA on November
Then I got a notice
Drall#5345 [04-Jan-18 03:01 PM]
Yeah, I've been on vacation (still am). I'm up in the mountains and my phone's data went out, so my only posts are from the occasional stop in a coffee shop
Griffindor#9422 [04-Jan-18 07:40 PM]
Lol sounds fun
Drall#5345 [07-Jan-18 04:00 PM]
@Omega#7092 isn't it still my job to do logs?
Omega#7092 [07-Jan-18 04:00 PM]
Yeah I just told Griffin i would do them since you were out
Sorry
Don't hurt me
Please
Good Chat
Besides I'll be gone soon enough
Drall#5345 [07-Jan-18 04:10 PM]
nah it's fine
thanks
Griffindor#9422 [07-Jan-18 10:26 PM]
Lol no hurting other people!
Omega#7092 [08-Jan-18 11:00 AM]
Are we going to do a del Endo vote or does it automatically go to drall as he is the only candidate from the party?
Griffindor#9422 [08-Jan-18 11:01 AM]
I was just about to type that
Omega#7092 [08-Jan-18 11:02 AM]
I'd move that it automatically goes to drall
Griffindor#9422 [08-Jan-18 11:02 AM]
For the last few elections we have voted on all candidates, but before that if a party member was running then it went to them
I am all for auto endorsing drall, and going back to tradition.. if y’all would like.. @APCRC Member
Sam111#3894 [08-Jan-18 12:09 PM]
I'd vote for an endorsement vote
Griffindor#9422 [08-Jan-18 05:34 PM]
As discussed in the #board-room I think we will be opening an endorsement thread.
Spenty#2436 [08-Jan-18 10:43 PM]
I'd call for a vote on the endorsement vote.
Drall#5345 [08-Jan-18 10:45 PM]
That's what we're going for rn
I also support doing an endorsement vote
Griffindor#9422 [11-Jan-18 05:11 PM]
Sean is asking all about the apc
In particular the election going on right bow
Now*
Griffindor#9422 [11-Jan-18 07:00 PM]
I convinced him to join?
Omega#7092 [11-Jan-18 07:37 PM]
Good work. Also feel free to send him my way if needed

Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:19 PM]
Yay! We are all complete!
@APCRC Member The next point of order is to elect a new @Party Secretary from our ranks!
Katie#3933 [16-Jan-18 12:25 PM]
What does the party secretary do?
Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:33 PM]
They basically copy and paste the APCRC chat at release it for public viewing on the forums
Drall#5345 [16-Jan-18 12:34 PM]
The party secretary essential transcribes each month's discussion to the forums
Omega and I were the last ones
Fairly simple job
And
You get a lovely pink mask
Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:34 PM]
It is a nice mask ?
Drall#5345 [16-Jan-18 12:35 PM]
Any volunteers?
Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:36 PM]
@Alexey#8069 @Katie#3933 ??"?

Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:36 PM]

Katie#3933 [16-Jan-18 12:36 PM]
I volunteer
sounds like a fun job
Alexey#8069 [16-Jan-18 12:37 PM]
um, cause i am about to be elected in TEP also and i don't think i could do three jobs. sorry
Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:37 PM]
Oh ya!
I forgot about TEP!
Well, we will need a quick vote of the APCRC then to confirm you @Katie#3933
Katie#3933 [16-Jan-18 12:39 PM]
Alrighty
Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:39 PM]
@Drall#5345 Would you like to set your first vote as chair?
Drall#5345 [16-Jan-18 12:39 PM]
Sure
@APCRC Member This is a vote to elect @Katie#3933 as the next @Party Secretary of the APC. Click on the red circle for nay, and on the blue circle for aye. Voting ends in one day.
Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:41 PM]
My red vote is a placeholder for anyone who wants to vote red
Katie#3933 [16-Jan-18 12:41 PM]
indeed
wait, so did you put a placeholder blue vote as well?
So we can subtract one from each
Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:42 PM]
Yes, but that is my official vote
Katie#3933 [16-Jan-18 12:42 PM]
ah okay
so -1 from the nay votes
Griffindor#9422 [16-Jan-18 12:42 PM]
yes
@Drall#5345 @Spenty#2436 when you are ready, go ahread and vote
Drall#5345 [16-Jan-18 10:39 PM]
I'm going to go ahead and declare @Katie#3933 the next @Party Secretary. Congratulations.
Katie#3933 [16-Jan-18 10:45 PM]
lol I was just editing my CoI dispatch
Drall#5345 [16-Jan-18 10:45 PM]
?
Griffindor#9422 [17-Jan-18 02:17 PM]
@Drall#5345 You should have mod powers over the APC forum now
Drall#5345 [17-Jan-18 02:30 PM]
Lovely
Katie#3933 [17-Jan-18 03:42 PM]
Okay, so... I know this is a dumb question but: what now? When are logs due out? How do I make logs from discord chat?
Drall#5345 [17-Jan-18 03:45 PM]
Logs at the top of every month, everything said here in that month
Katie#3933 [17-Jan-18 03:45 PM]
Yeah I know what the logs contain
Drall#5345 [17-Jan-18 03:46 PM]
Scroll up to the first day of the month, highlight down. Copy paste into a spoiler on the forums
Katie#3933 [17-Jan-18 03:47 PM]
Oh, k fair enough
Griffindor#9422 [18-Jan-18 12:01 AM]
It feels more daunting than it really is, don't fret over it
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:02 AM]
@Griffindor#9422 we should start coming up with something to give committees a bigger role in the APC. I’d like to see that over and done with
Griffindor#9422 [18-Jan-18 12:03 AM]
I would as well.
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:04 AM]
I’m thinking we do it the way my Uni’s Senate does it: the committees draft legislation relevant to them and then present it to a general assembly for 1st reading
it returns to them for revision and then there’s a final reading at the next assembly
I really would like the 1st reading 2nd reading format for the APCRC
Griffindor#9422 [18-Jan-18 12:05 AM]
I could see that
Though we don’t have much in the way of legislation to pass though
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:05 AM]
*shrug*
Griffindor#9422 [18-Jan-18 12:05 AM]
Party wise that is
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:06 AM]
That’s the only way I can see committees serving a purpose atm
I’ll let you know If I have more ideas
Griffindor#9422 [18-Jan-18 12:06 AM]
Haha all right, I’m gonna take a stab at it when I wake up, and can concentrate ?
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:07 AM]
gotchya
go sleep lol
Drall#5345 [18-Jan-18 12:41 AM]
We really don't have party-level legislation on such a level to the point where committes should be doing that.
What I could get behind, however, is using the committees to draft legislation for one explicit purpose. Say, courts reform, to pick a long term legislative goal at random.
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:42 AM]
Yeah but that’d defeat the purpose of having committees with predefined “purposes” (Committee on Regional Relations, etc.)
also it wouldn’t necessarily be party-level legislation
it’d be any legislation written by the party
whether party or region-level
Drall#5345 [18-Jan-18 12:44 AM]
The other thing I'd like to see is making the committees more than just sub-groups of the APC. Let me give an example. Let's take @Regional Relations. I previously tossed around the idea of that committee doing mentoring gameside and later forumside, which works perfectly since we have a lot of experienced legislators 'round here. So, with the new mentor program in the works, I'd like to see members of the committee move in the direction of mentoring newer players.
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:45 AM]
then what do the other committees do?
i agree with that
I just think it should be comprehensive
Drall#5345 [18-Jan-18 12:46 AM]
Well that's what we need to decide
Personally, I think regional relations, with a focusing on mentoring newer players both gameside and forumside, leads naturally into recruitment. I wouldn't be opposed to merging the two based on that level of carryover.
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:47 AM]
Eh
when I think “recruitment” I think regional recruitment. But if you think party recruitment, then I agree
Drall#5345 [18-Jan-18 12:48 AM]
As for the policy committee, we spent the last six months rewriting our charter. I'm confident we've got a pretty damn good policy.
I think both. And I think regional relations works for both.
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:49 AM]
I mean I think it should be called “recruitment” if merged, because that’s basically what they’re setting up for by helping the new people get started
Actually that’s not important. Silly me :P
My point is that I agree with your idea
it just seems silly at that point to call them committees in a real sense
Drall#5345 [18-Jan-18 12:51 AM]
?
I could care less what they're called. I care about them doing things.
Katie#3933 [18-Jan-18 12:53 AM]
fair
Alexey#8069 [19-Jan-18 12:19 AM]
i know yall that i haven't really done much yet and i apologize for that. I was just re-elected in TEP, plus having to get stuff ready for my new school season. I will say that I most likely won't be very active this weekend into Tuesday-Wednesday next week, for school and family reasons. Sorry yall
Katie#3933 [19-Jan-18 06:40 AM]
lol don’t worry Alexey, none of us really have
^^
Griffindor#9422 [19-Jan-18 09:59 AM]
@Alexey#8069 you’ve only missed everything ?
Just kidding though, RL>NS
Griffindor#9422 [19-Jan-18 11:56 AM]
@Drall#5345 as you are the chair, you are in charge of recruitment
Would you like to be head of recruitment, or would you like to give it to another person within the APCRC?
Drall#5345 [19-Jan-18 11:57 AM]
I'll head up recruitment.
Unless anyone absolutely wants the job
Griffindor#9422 [19-Jan-18 11:58 AM]
I have been the recruitment head since my term all those months ago
Drall#5345 [19-Jan-18 11:58 AM]
If you want to continue, I'm fine with that
Griffindor#9422 [19-Jan-18 11:59 AM]
I shall, we would just need a reconfirmation vote ?
Drall#5345 [19-Jan-18 11:59 AM]
Cool
Drall#5345 [19-Jan-18 12:00 PM]
@APCRC Member This is a vote to confirm @Griffindor#9422 as the head of recruitment of the APC. Click on the red circle for nay, and on the blue circle for aye. Voting ends in one day.
Griffindor#9422 [20-Jan-18 06:44 PM]
http://tspforums.xyz/thread-5840-post-167249.html#pid167249 Amendment is at vote
Also, @Drall#5345 would you like to declare the vote ?
Drall#5345 [20-Jan-18 07:19 PM]
Oh, yeah
Vote is clearly over. I hereby declare @Griffindor#9422 as head of recruitment.
Griffindor#9422 [24-Jan-18 02:57 PM]
Doesn't Seraphs election to delegate make them the first member of a political party to hold office?
Drall#5345 [24-Jan-18 03:57 PM]
If you're referring to the office of the delegacy, then yes
Alexey#8069 [25-Jan-18 02:12 AM]
I am just stating that i am 100% for the January Accords. I have supported it since my Delegate Yuno in TEP brought it before our legislature.
Katie#3933 [25-Jan-18 09:15 AM]
Nice
Alexey#8069 [25-Jan-18 11:54 AM]
i am head legislator in TEP right now so it means a lot seeing something from TSP lol
Drall#5345 [25-Jan-18 12:20 PM]
I would like to see the APCRC formally support the current amendment to the political parties act, found here – http://tspforums.xyz/thread-5917.html
Therefore, I am calling a vote for the APCRC to formally recommend this amendment to the party. Click on the red circle for nay, and on the blue circle for aye. Voting ends in one day.
^ @APCRC Member
Griffindor#9422 [25-Jan-18 01:23 PM]
@Alexey#8069 Yuno was an APC member, and said she will rejoin us when her term is over, and she comes back to tsp
We have friends in high places ?
Alexey#8069 [25-Jan-18 01:24 PM]
she is running for re-election now
she got like 10 nominations in TEP when they opened
Griffindor#9422 [25-Jan-18 05:41 PM]
Awesome!
Alexey#8069 [25-Jan-18 07:30 PM]
It’s her and two others I know running
I am not legally bound to but I most likely won’t be voting in favor of a candidate
Alexey#8069 [25-Jan-18 09:18 PM]
it is Yuno and 3 other candidates btw. plus one more than needs a second @Griffindor#9422
Griffindor#9422 [26-Jan-18 04:27 PM]
Let’s set a goal to have the committees fleshed out by the end of the weekend, and get the ball rolling more.. this would be a party wide effort!
Katie#3933 [26-Jan-18 04:35 PM]
Nice
sounds good to me
Griffindor#9422 [26-Jan-18 04:49 PM]
@Chair I have completed the membership evaluation for party members, and have determined that rolandarmstrong needs to be formally removed by a unanimous APCRC vote. Yuno and Punchwood voluntarily renounced their membership after they left the region and said they would come back to the party if they came back to the region, and will not need a APCRC vote. All other members have maintained commitment to staying in the party.
As of now, if there were another APCRC election today, we would lose one general member.. so we should focus on recruitment in my opinion.
Drall#5345 [26-Jan-18 05:53 PM]
*nods*
@APCRC Member This is a vote to remove @Roland Prime#7563 from the APC, as he no longer meets the requirements to remain in the party. Click on the red circle for nay, and on the blue circle for aye. Voting ends in one day.
Drall#5345 [26-Jan-18 10:34 PM]
This vote is now closed, as all members have voted.
I am formally declaring @Roland Prime#7563 to no longer be a member of the APC, as he no longer meets membership requirements, and the APCRC has voted 5-0 to remove his status as member.
Moreover, I am also closing the vote to formally recommend the current PPA Amendment. This vote passes, 4-0.
@Member it is hereby noted to be the recommendation of the @APCRC Member to support the current amendment to the Political Parties Act.
Pinned a message.
http://tspforums.xyz/thread-5917.html
Alexey#8069 [26-Jan-18 11:34 PM]
i can say there is no doubt in my mind btw that the January Accords will be passed in TSP and TEP lol.
Griffindor#9422 [26-Jan-18 11:38 PM]
Hey! Seeing as though we still have 50 days to do so, I would like to go ahead and release this thread for public viewing: http://tspforums.xyz/thread-5840-post-167506.html#pid167506 The amendment (as seen from the charter thread) is already visible and releasing this will be easier now, than later since it is relevant. We would of course need an APCRC vote ?
@Chair .
Griffindor#9422 [27-Jan-18 02:46 PM]
Pssst @Chair ^^^^
Drall#5345 [27-Jan-18 03:05 PM]
Right
@APCRC Member This is a vote to release the above thread for public viewing. Click on the red circle for nay, and on the blue circle for aye. Voting ends in one day.
Alexey#8069 [28-Jan-18 01:12 PM]
@APCRC Member, I inform all of you here that i will most likely be gone over the next 24 to 48 hours. A family friend (a member of my half-brother's family) was killed this morning and there are many more in my family that are sick or on hospice. I will check in as much as i can, but it will be sparse
Katie#3933 [28-Jan-18 01:15 PM]
Hope everything turns out well for you :)
Drall#5345 [28-Jan-18 01:18 PM]
So sorry. Take as much time as you need.
Griffindor#9422 [28-Jan-18 01:50 PM]
Take your time! Real life > NS
Drall#5345 [28-Jan-18 01:52 PM]

The aforementioned thread is hereby released to the public
