Electra Railways, a Peo-Gianlucan corporation had taken much effort in investing on rail technology in Northern Cordilia. After the success of the RPR shinkansen and the Gianlucan intercity, there is massive enthusiasm for a high speed rail system especially in larger states. One of which, is the Federal Republic of Besern, with a nation that spans from coast to coast, norh to south edge, a competent high speed rail system is needed to connect city by city. The federal republic allows for contracts and private corporations to help with connecting the cities of Besern.


Electra Railways, procured contracts to build a limited express line from north to south, with Peonic high speed rail technology and Gi-Lanndian rolling stock more suited for the terrain in the north, Electra railways combined old rail lines and newer ones to create a limited express, using rail tilting technology. The line was known as "Northstar Lines" and it was under ownership of Electra Railways since the 1980s

Along with Bersches Bahne and translink, Electra Railways had a major role in connecting Besernians in such a large country. Both logistical and passenger services, which are highly profitable and usable.


However, after nearly 40 years of service, the contract is about to end and a bidding war to operate Northstar Lines begun. It was clear that Electra Railways wanted to continue their ownership of Northstar, however several corporations look to expand their operations in Besern, and Northstar is the perfect foothold. Moreover, Northstar may be a private line, but while the corporation is originated in Federal Republic, its owners are foreign, and Besern would definitely look into reintegrating the lines back fully in Besernian hands.

That was analyzed by Bobby Jones, a man specializing in doing things. The Bank of Templar had called him away from Qaweritoyou, after slavery was banned and automation began to take an interest, The Bank of Templar gained an economical foothold in the country. He was flown to Besern to represent Electra Railways in the bidding war, along with his partner, Frances Derwent, student of the Templar Grandmaster.
