[IC] The Prariean Civil War
#1

Lieutenant Alexander Eriksson looked at his digital watch.
6:27 PM.
"Only that?", he thought to himself. "It feels like I've been here for weeks."
Alexander had only been there two days, actually. He, and the rest of the Prariean Guard's 76th Valley Division, had gotten the orders to deploy on Sunday. Deploy to the People's Prarie, the autonomous zone that revolutionaries and rioters had carved out for themselves in downtown Durham after days of riots in response to the Military Police's shooting of 7 APW marches in front of the Anders-Marie, the Parliament building. Why? Make a statement, I guess. It's really just a standoff at this point.
Those officers had been killed, by the way. Ambush to that outpost.
Alexander didn't really understand why he had to deploy. Well, yes, there had been a bombing in Stonebridge, but does that really mean that some commie hipsters halfway across the country were going to start an armed revolution? He doubted it.

Back to reality.
"Hey, Karlson, when do you think the Prarie League is going to start up again? Angels are looking good this year!"
"Oh, whatever. It's the Loons' year, baby."
"Ha. Doubt it. Just because you have Ciream doesn't mean-"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"What the hell was that?"
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Soldier down! I repeat, soldier down! Move behind the coffee shop! Find cover! We are under fire!"
Well, I guess they might start an armed revolution.
