It's day 14 of the Christmas Advent Calendar!

NationStates is a very multi-faceted game, with a plethora of emergent ways of engaging and being engaged. But today, we are going to ignore all of that and go back to one of the core pieces of the game - answering issues! With over 600 issues and counting, there is a large variety of issues facing your nation, whose answers affect the stats of your nation in various intentional and unintentional ways.

As we saw here, many of your nations celebrate holidays in some fashion, so wouldn't it be fitting if there was a NationStates issue dealing with just that? Let's share our ideas here - no matter if it's one sentence, or a full-fledged issue, what could a Christmas-themed NationStates issue look like? Who knows, maybe one of these will be the next accepted issue

Greetings leader,
Divisions in your staff over the correct seasonal greetings have degenerated into skirmishes and now the open office floor plan is a war zone. The Christian clan has taken over the north wall and barricaded themselves in with a giant 2000 watt light bulb above them, the Hannaka clan have taken over the server room with a dazzling display of lights, with several scrooges still sitting at their desks working.

1. Dear leader, I got into the lift this morning and someone wished me a Happy Christmas, how dare they? I demand to be left miserable all December and not be involved in this commercial Christian shenanigan. All religious and commercial seasonal celebrations must be kept off the street and out the public to be celebrated in private.

2. It's true leader! I wished her a Happy Christmas in the lift and she told me to go somewhere warm. She must only respond in kind or with the traditional Bah Humbug. Christmas must be compulsory and taught in schools.

3. A Rabbi enters your room, leader this focus on the Christian festival is unfair and demeaning to my religion. After all, the festival of lights used this date first and Christians just copied us! All religious festivals must get equal footings in your country. If a 6 foot Christmas tree is displayed outside there better be a 6 foot hanukkiyah must also be displayed outside.

4. Your sauve minister of internal affairs enters the fray, leader there is no problem here a few new laws won't solve. All the problems stem from the over commercialisation and spoltlight on Christmas since the day after Halloween. Ban all things Christmas until the 1st of December and after the 5th of January will solve this mess.

5. Leader, any person that can draw arms to celebrate the season of goodwill is not a person we want in our republic. Let us take this opportunity to cull from the population the hardliners from each side. Without their extremist leaders driving them into a frenzy this will all die down. The lowering of the population will help with climate change and food shortages to boot!
